Overheard at my house recently:
Kids: “Mom. Mom. Mommy. Mommm. Mommy! MOMMY!”
Me: “Yes, sweethearts?”
Kids: “Ummm….”
Well, good news. This blog post is not like that moment (which repeats 100 times a day or so it seems), because I actual news for you!
Book 6 is Done! (For me, at least).
Cursed: Briar Rose’s Story is currently with my beta readers! Aaah! The editing process took longer than I expected and I’m sure they’ll turn up a few more things to fix (they are genius plot hole identifiers). After that it will go to my amazing editor Kathrese, and then, FINALLY, to you, dear readers. I’ll keep you posted as it moves through the process. But I’m just so excited to have wrapped up the big stuff on my end because that means it is close to actually being in your hands.
I’ll hopefully be able to share the cover and blurb in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned. And possibly an excerpt, if you would like one…what do you think?? Let me know with a comment!
Wrapping up the series in the final scenes was an incredibly satisfying experience. Tears were shed. So many things are coming together that began in Book 1, which I started outlining back when my daughter was only 1.5 years old. She’s now almost FIVE.
(For some reason, I think of time passing in terms of children getting older…anyway.)
This series has been so much fun for me and I hope for you too. Thank you for sticking with it. As an indie writer, reader support means the world to me!!
Stolen: Chloe’s Story Update
Chapters 1 (link here) and 2 (here) are out! If you haven’t yet, start with the prologue. This “blog book” is an Aladdin retelling and is free for my email list, so if you haven’t already signed up, click here to do so and you’ll get the passwords in your email.
I’ll be working on more chapters for Stolen while my beta readers and editor go through Cursed, and then I plan to get to work on the outline for my new series. 2020 is going to be a crazy year for our family thanks to the military but you know what? Craziness can be great writing fuel. 🙃
Do You Want a Signed Copy of Fated: Cinderella’s Story?
Per reader request, I recently put it up to buy on Etsy if you’d like one for yourself or to give as a gift. Would you be interested in signed copies of other books in the series? Let me know and I’ll make it happen!
